The Valley Garden Club will be awarding a scholarship to assist a student pursuing an education in a field related to the study of horticulture, agriculture, landscape architecture/design, botany, plant pathology, forestry, agronomy, environmental concerns, city planning, land management.
One $1,500.00 scholarship will be awarded for the full academic year and will be given to the student to further his or her education. This is given directly to the student. No financial information is needed to apply for this scholarship. This award does not go against any other financial aid received by student.
Students attending Belle Vernon, Monessen, California, Frazier, Ringgold, Yough or Charleroi High Schools can contact their guidance office for scholarship application and information. The application, essay regarding student’s career goals, two recommendations and an official transcript must be received by April 11, 2025.
Eligible candidates also include current college or trade school students who will have successfully completed one or more years of study by June 2025 as well as home schooled and adult students. (Students must be in or graduated from the above mentioned school districts.) Those students can contact dbvalleygardenclub@gmail.com for scholarship application and information.
